Our Policies
Thank you for your interest in our raw milk!
I get much pride and satisfaction from my happy cows, and happy customers! I appreciate each order I receive, and my hope is you love our milk, poultry, pork and eggs!

In order to keep things running smoothly I have a few policies I hope you will read through and reach out to me with any questions about, I am always happy to answer questions!
Glass Fee

I feel passionate about using glass jars for my raw milk sales for a couple of reasons.
The first being, milk stays colder during transport due to the insulation properties of thick glass jars over thin plastic. I do pack my cooler with ice packs for transport but even the trip from the house to the car on a hot day can lower shelf life and my goal is to give my customers the longest possible shelf life on their milk.
Another reason I prefer glass is that I wouldn't want to unnecessarily contribute to plastic waste, and single use plastic milk jugs do not align with my environmental views.

However, there are several challenges in using glass.

Jars can break, be forgotten at home, and can become very expensive to constantly replace. I use anywhere from 10-25 jars per day depending on each particular cow's production, and if they are fresh or late lactation, so it can become quite time consuming and a financial burden for me to try and track down missing jars and constantly purchase replacements.
Because of these reasons I'm moving away from jar deposits and towards a more straightforward approach.
Your first purchase of milk will include a $5 per jar glass fee. This is non-refundable so if you forget your jars, please expect to purchase an additional set from me at your pickup. I have this listed in my reminder emails as well to help prevent forgetfulness.

24 Hour Cancellation policy
I understand that things sometimes come up and if you aren't able to make it to your pickup appointment, that is okay! If you could follow the policy outlined below, it will help keep things running smoothly.

I require a 24 hour notice in advance for non-emergencies. No-shows will be required to pay for their order before they will be permitted to order again.
I have a wait-list most days and when milk is reserved and not picked up, another customer loses out!
I do try and be considerate of the fact that occasionally life throws a wrench in even the best laid plans, so if you just let me know the situation, I am always willing to work with you!

I appreciate you, my customers and potential customers, taking the time to read through my policies, thank you! -Heather
